| OUR TAKE | The only humanoid actually living in houses today. Soft-body design, quiet, built for safety around kids and pets. | The cheapest way to own a real humanoid right now. Smaller and more of a developer platform than a housekeeper - but it ships. |

Detailed comparison: NEO Gamma vs G1
NEO Gamma scores 8.4/10 in our independent evaluation; G1 scores 7.2/10. That 1.2000000000000002-point gap reflects real differences in capability or value, but G1 may still win if its strengths match your priorities.
NEO Gamma is best for: Households that want a robot around people, kids, and pets as early as possible. G1 is best for: Tinkerers, developers, and early adopters who want hardware in hand now.
Our scoring weighs five factors: autonomous capability, independent verification (third-party evidence scores higher than manufacturer claims), commercial deployment scale, price-to-capability ratio, and real-world availability today. Neither robot here is scored on marketing alone. NEO Gamma and G1 are both worth evaluating — the right call depends on which robot's documented strengths match your actual workflow.
