Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-07-04
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of whichbot.net (the "Site"), operated by WhichBot ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We've written these Terms in plain English wherever the law allows, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
1. What the Site is — and is not
WhichBot is an independent informational publication about robots: reviews, comparisons, price tracking, buyer's guides, and news analysis covering home robots and construction & building robots. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any robot manufacturer. We do not sell robots, we do not broker robot sales, and we are not an agent of any company whose products we cover. Robot names, product names, and trademarks appearing on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used solely for identification and editorial commentary.
2. Informational content only — no professional advice
All content on the Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes professional advice of any kind — including purchasing, financial, investment, legal, safety, engineering, medical, or caregiving advice — and nothing on the Site creates any professional relationship between you and WhichBot. Robots are significant purchases and, in commercial settings, significant operational decisions; you should verify all material facts with manufacturers and consult qualified professionals appropriate to your situation before acting. You are solely responsible for your decisions.
3. Accuracy, estimates, and the asterisk
The robotics market changes weekly. We work to keep information accurate, we date-stamp our pages, and we correct errors when we find them or when readers report them — but we make no representation or warranty that any content is complete, current, or error-free at the moment you read it. Figures marked with an asterisk (*) are estimates compiled from public sources such as manufacturer statements, filings, and credible reporting; they are not quotes, offers, or guarantees of price or availability. Scores, rankings, and verdicts are our editorial opinions, produced under the methodology published at whichbot.net/methodology. Always confirm current specifications, pricing, and availability directly with the manufacturer before making a purchase or deployment decision.
Found an error? Tell us at support@whichbot.net — we'd rather be corrected than wrong, and we note material corrections on the affected page.
4. Affiliate and advertising disclosure
As of the effective date above, the Site contains no affiliate links and no paid placements. In the future, some outbound links may become affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them at no additional cost to you. If and when that happens: affiliate relationships will never influence scores, rankings, or verdicts; affiliate links will be identified; and this section will be updated. Editorial independence is the product — we won't sell it.
5. Intellectual property and permitted use
The Site's content — text, data compilations, scoring, design, graphics, and branding — is owned by WhichBot and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial informational purposes.
You are welcome to: quote brief excerpts with clear attribution and a link to the source page; share links to our pages anywhere; and cite our data in articles, videos, and research with attribution to WhichBot.
You may not, without written permission: republish substantial portions of the Site; scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content or data for redistribution or for building competing products or datasets; use the Site's content to train commercial AI systems in violation of applicable law; remove attribution; or use our branding in a way that implies endorsement. (Good-faith AI answer engines citing and linking our pages are welcome — that's what our llms.txt is for.)
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: interfere with or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems; use the Site for any unlawful purpose; misrepresent your affiliation with WhichBot; or transmit malware or malicious code through any interaction with the Site or our email addresses. We may restrict access to protect the Site and its users.
7. Third-party links and content
The Site links to third-party websites — manufacturers, retailers, news sources, and communities. Those sites are not under our control; we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, policies, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and governed by their terms.
8. User submissions
If you send us corrections, tips, suggestions, or other feedback (by email or any other channel), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback to operate and improve the Site — including publishing corrections — without obligation or compensation. Don't send us anything confidential; we can't accept confidentiality obligations for unsolicited material.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WHICHBOT AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR PURCHASE AND DEPLOYMENT DECISIONS MADE IN RELIANCE ON SITE CONTENT — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WhichBot and its operators from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
12. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email support@whichbot.net with: identification of the work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act. We will review and respond promptly, including removal where appropriate.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except that either party may seek relief in small-claims court where eligible. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you hold under the consumer-protection laws of your place of residence.
14. Changes, severability, and the whole agreement
We may update these Terms; the effective date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and WhichBot regarding the Site. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
